Whilst we are unable to update our MXQ Quadcore, MX2 Dualcore, G8 & G5 boxes with newer versions of Android (Amlogic wont release a chipset driver that supports any other version of Android) there is some good news. Especially if you have a perfectly useable Android TV box sitting waiting to be used. Kodi’s decision to not support Android versions older than 5.0 for their Kodi 17 Krypton build is highly frustrating.
